Dread Saurian is almost here

Forgeworld are keeping their promise of a weekly update and this time around we get a sneak peak at the finished Dread Saurian that has been making the open days and games day tours this past year.

Hopefully this will mean that the K'daai Destroyer is just around the corner as this is also finished and awaiting a release slot.

Unfortunately there has been no new news on whether or not Black Fire Pass will see the light of day any time soon. I for one hope us WHFB enthusiasts will get the Horus Heresy treatment again soon. Forgeworlds first attempt was not met with as much fanfare as they hoped. It promised a lot but did not deliver on what the community wanted, and that is fleshing out of new races and specialist lists. 

Show us the armies of Ind or Cathay. A lost colony of Sea Elves. Southlands lizardmen or Nagash!

Forgeworld 2012 Open Day

There's been some really amazing stuff spotted at the Forgeworld Open Day this year.

Apparently the next Warhammer Forge book will be "Battle for Black Fire Pass" centred around the events of the third battle in the history of the Empire, with all three contingents represented
ie Empire, Dwarfs, plus Orcs and Goblins

I for one am looking forward to this book!

Finally GW (well at-least an offshoot) are doing a campaign book on something other than freak'n Chaos!

Monstrous Arcanum

Finally the news that some of us have been waiting for for a while! The first in a new series, Monstrous Arcanum is available for pre-order for dispatch on the 10th April! At 32 squid it works out to be about $72 NZD, thats cheaper than a GW army book...

Up on the preview page is probably any Tomb Kings most eagerly awaited prize, the Khemri Titan!
St8 T8 with 10 wounds, this 475 point beast has special attacks that you roll for like D6 St8 hits or a single St8 attack with heroic killing blow.

To be honest I am more anticipating the model itself, as Forgeworld have delivered some very high standards with previous models released. My book has been ordered!
