Dawn of a new era?

The big news circulating at the moment is the current 6th edition 40k rulebook is now listed as "no longer available" on the Games Workshop Website. The talk is that this is a prelude to the re-release or 7th edition of 40k. This would mark an unusual move for Games Workshop as to my knowledge, they have never recycled an edition so quickly.

In what was meant to be a new release year for WHFB 9th edition, hopes where dashed with the statement from the (now defunct) Games Workshop Digital Editions Facebook page when the iBooks version of 8th edition WHFB was released, stating that they would not release a digital book if it only had 6 months life left in it. And in more recent events, Games Workshop released the ebook version of 8th edition WHFB which went largely unnoticed.

Reports are coming in that Games Workshop stores have been requested to send back their copies of 6th edition 40k (unconfirmed), and local/independent stores have received a new stockist sheet with a large turnover of current/existing stock lines.

As far as the rumour front goes on what we can expect if this pans out, a new 7th (6.5?) edition box set will incorporate Blood Angels and Orks in the core set. As far as rules changes goes expect to see the integration of a lot of the peripheral rules and for another push to harmonise rules more in line with WHFB.

Rumours have gone as far as saying random charges will be removed (unlikely) and force organisation will have percentage caps introduced (likely). One thing for sure is if this does all pan out to be true, the loudest 1% will scream bloody murder to money grab much the the amusement of the other 99%. I for one will be interested to see if they can clean up the current mess that is 40k.

Void Shield Generatorsm pictures leaked

I just don't get it. Why make the void generator out of resin and limit it to 1000?
Surely there is enough of a market to pump out 10,000 in plastic...
Cant say this excites me much. Yawn. Hurry up and release the Wood Elves!

Militarum Tempestus Leaked

Well at first glance I thought Imperial Guard look to be re-named Militarum Tempestus...
However this looks like an entirely new standalone release. Notice the Codex is ONLINE ONLY...

This is the first wave of several hopefully. Can't say I like the goofy transport at first though

Whats interesting, is we have this leak of models due for release on April 5th. That leaves 2 weeks worth of releases that we dont know of yet. Since the codex is in this one I figure that the week before will be 1 or 2 kits for this new faction. So does that mean more Chaos the week before?

Codex: Inquisitor?

Entirely left of field we get this great snippet from Games Workshop: digital Editions

This November, you will be able to download the brand new Codex: Inquisition.

A full codex, packed with background and artwork on the forces of the Imperium’s most secretive and powerful organization. You’ll soon be able to field an Inquisitor and their retinue in any Imperial army in games of Warhammer 40,000.

We’ll be releasing more details on this book through our Facebook page as the date approaches, so make sure you’re signed up to follow us.
In fact, once we reach 5,000 likes, we’re going to reveal the full cover of the book (so get your friends to sign up to if you want to see it) Here’s a little snippet.

We’ll be back next week on Tuesday, with more Digital Editions news and more info on the upcoming Codex: Inquisition.

 Thanks for reading!
One can't help but think these guys never got the memo. Who are you people? Games Workshop: Digital Editions or GW:DE have been responsible for more news and rumours in the past month than GW has been for the last 10 years... And I for one am not complaining!

It needs to be mentioned that within the last month GW:DE have released the 'Sentinels of Terra' (I purchased a copy from BL and found it to be a very good read), announced an Iron Hands supplement, previewed the Digital release of the Blood Angels Codex and of course we have the "Adeptus Sororatis" as well. Where the hell is my Adeptus Mechanicus!!?

Reading into the news snippet they suggest that this new Codex allows an Imperial player to take an Inquisitor and there retinue in any Imperial army. Does this mean it is not a stand alone Codex? Will we be receiving new models of Inquisitors soon? Will Forgeworld be supporting the releases with models? More questions than answers!

Hopefully this is a sign of the times and we will once again see GW previewing/teasing new releases again to create talk in the community. It can only be positive.

Go 'like' their facebook page now, as they have promised more information at 5000 'likes', and as of now they are sitting on 4947...

Ferrus Manus Released by FW

Hot on the heals of book II: Massacre, the Gorgon has been released by Forgeworld!

The Primarch of the Iron Hands Legion was a figure of legend amongst the peoples of his home world of Medusa, named by them ‘the Gorgon’ after the most ancient of mythic creatures. Ferrus was amongst the strongest of the Primarchs, reflected in this giant figure, dwarfing many of his brother Primarchs.
Forge World will be attending UK Games Day, held on Sunday 29th September at the NIA in Birmingham, and Ferrus Manus, the latest model in our Horus Heresy Character series, will be available to purchase on the day. As part of our Games Day UK previews, we have a feature on the Forge World Visual Feed about the Primarch of the Iron Hands Legion. In our latest video, designer Simon Egan talks about how he created the model of the Gorgon and how it can be incorporated with Fulgrim to form a stunning diorama.

This marks the first of the loyal legions to receive some Primarch love by Forgeworld, and it has me expecting great things come Rogal Dorn!

FW Latest Horus Heresy Releases - The Fellglaive is here

I seem to have lost my email but Forgeworld have released a bunch of stuff today
Everyones favourite Heresy Superheavy, the Fellglaive

The Glaive Super-heavy Special Weapons Tank is a variant of the Fellblade. Armed with a Volkite Carronade, it is designed to destroy xenos beasts and incinerate enemy light vehicles at a single sweep.

While the Glaive has been issued to all eighteen Legiones Astartes in limited quantities, the Salamanders and Dark Angels have long been noted to field Glaives as a matter of course; the XVIIIth Legion’s artifice is more than sufficient to maintain and replicate the arcane Volkite technology, while the provenance and honour of the Ist Legion means that their war matériel and weaponry are ancient indeed.

The Legion Glaive, designed by Stuart Williamson, is a multi-part resin and plastic kit that is packed with detail. It is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday 28th June and experimental rules to field this powerful super-heavy as part of a Space Marine Legion army are available to download here.

New Minotaurs Chapter Conemptor Dread "Hecaton Aiakos"

The ornate Contemptor pattern Dreadnought known as Hecaton Aiakos has been identified by his distinctive heraldry in a number of the Minotaurs Chapter’s campaigns, spanning several centuries. In the Bifrost Uprising, Aiakos gained notoriety when he was mistakenly fired upon by a detachment of Bifrost Huscarls under the brevet command of Brother-Sergeant Augustine of the Viper Legion Space Marines. Aiakos rampaged through the Imperial lines in retaliation, killing thirty-seven Huscarls and Augustine himself, and ripped apart a Leman Russ which had attempted to stop him. His deadly assault was only halted after he received a countermand vox order from his Chapter Master in orbit.

Hecaton Aiakos, designed by Israel Gonzalez, is a multi-part resin kit packed with intricate detail, and is available to order now for immediate despatch. The model comes supplied with a plasma cannon and an ornate Dreadnought close combat weapon, and is also fully compatible with Forge World’s other Contemptor Dreadnought weapons. Rules for fielding this noted character can be found in Imperial Armour Volume Twelve: The Fall of Orpheus.

New Tartaros Pattern Terminators

The Tartaros pattern is arguably the most advanced form of Tactical Dreadnought Armour, and shares many systems with the MkIV ‘Maximus’ power armour. It provides greater mobility for its wearer than other patterns, with no loss in durability or protection; this has led to great demand for the Tartaros pattern and means that it is particularly commonplace amongst the Legiones Astartes.

Designed by Will Hayes, the Legion Tartaros Pattern Terminators set contains five multi-part resin models, each featuring different iconography and armour details.

Eldar Codex on ANDROID! $40NZ!!!!!!!!

Yes, that time has finally come when GW acknowledge that apple is shit and embrace the intelligence that is Android!

The Eldar codex is officially the first codex to make the jump into the mainstream. Tucked away in WD daily anouncement is this:

The Digital Edition of Codex Eldar is now available to download as an eBook for Android, Kindle and iBook devices. Yes, you did read that correctly - the Eldar have transcended from the physical plain of paper and ink to the digital realm of pixels and megabytes. To download Codex Eldar simply click on this link:

Codex Eldar - the Digital Edition

It's worth noting that new digital content is being created all the time by the guys in the Studio and every Monday you'll be able to collect a new instalment in the three available series. In the Munitorum series you'll find articles on the Eldar Banshee Mask and the Shuriken Catapult, while in Warlords of the Dark Millennium there are articles on Asmodai and Azrael - two of the most famous heroes in the Dark Angels Chapter. Index Astartes is also back and new instalments in the series will be released on a regular basis. Bookmark the Digital Editions page and check back there every Monday to see what's been added.

COMPATIBILITY:

This eBook digital edition is compatible with most current generation mobile devices, tablets and eReaders including Android, Kindle and iBooks devices.

What is even better about this (atleast for us Kiwi's) is that we can purchase and download these books directly from the Black Library!
For those of you who don't know, GW, just to add insult to injury, not only charge New Zealand twice the RRP that they do in the UK, they also blocked NZ from downloading digital products from iBooks store...
£20 gets you the ebook on Mobi or Epub, and that roughly translates to $40 NZ! Compare that to $98 NZ for the hardcover codex.....

War is coming...

Well it looks like the leaked WD cover was genuine

War is coming video

This confirms what we all know, Apocalypse is coming in July. WD will be on sale 29th June. So it is also interesting that this teaser video has gone up so early. Is this linked to the changes to independants I spoke of in my last post?

Expecting the 2 week pre order window to be confirmed come next week when the stores get their order forms.

New Daemons Pictures

I've just received some images in my inbox...

Edit: GW have requested I remove these pictures from my blog.

The pictures can still be viewed here at Petes blog. Of course you can just go out and buy the WD since its available now, and you can see the new releases in better quality. There is also some nice FW previews in the back...

Chaos Daemons in March

With the release of a teaser video by GW it is pretty much confirmed we will be receiving a Daemon release for the month of March. The big question remains is what will be in it.

The latest rounds have pointed to two waves being released, the first with a Tzeentch Chariot, a Khorne Chariot, Blight Drones of some form and books for both 40k and Fantasy.

However some inside information confirms that the product codes for all four greater Daemons have new 2013 codes. Wether this is repackaging of the old ones or a second wave to come is yet to be revealed. The interwebs has been hot with plastic greater Daemon rumours... The product codes also allude to other Daemon releases as well....

I was picking that GW would release two Greater Daemons at a time, say Bloodthirster and GUO with the Khorne Chariot and Blight Drones, followed by the LOC & KOS with Furries and Tzeentch Chariot. Those eight kit seam to be the most favoured of the rumours for release. Wether or not we see a book next month is yet to be seen, although there are new product codes for both.

Safe to say over the next few days we will get leaked some pictures and the conjecture will be over. I'm hoping we will see a return to Daemonic hatred/animosity within the books again. Only  Tzeentch truly knows at this point...

Countdown to NZTC

We are now just a few short days away from the first NZ team Championship.

Last night I spent some time assembling and basing my Chaos Dwarfs ready for the tournament, and realised that once again I have left everything to the last minute as nothing is finished... The army is so far away from being finished, and at the current rate will barely make the 3 colour minimum cut. I really hate using unfinished armies but with the ETC less than 6 months out I really need to get some experience/practice playing the army in a competitive environment, and what better place than the NZTC! Add to that I am not the best painter around, and have had painters block for the last month or so, so it has been a real chore to try get this far.

A huge preemptive thanks needs to go out to Sam Whitt from the OMEN team for lending me his BSB and K'daai destroyer for the event! Without it I would not be taking the Chaos Dwarfs to this event. So to all you other teams, you can thank him for his selflessness =P

Know now that he will not be taking bribes to 'forget' them as I am sure his cost is way out of your price range...

In the weekend that has just been I made the pilgrimage to Warclouds 2013 in Christchurch, teaming up with a friend to play in the 40k doubles tournament with some borrowed armies. We ran a combination of Raven wing Bikes and a Death Company drop pod army (format was 1250 points per player). I don't often play 40k, only owning a handful of FW marines and a few Necrons, but I did enjoy the weekend and opportunity to do something different for a change. However I did get caught sneaking a look at the WHFB rulebook half way through a 40k game... Our games consisted of action right from the word go, with 75% of our army scout moving, and those that didn't arriving via drop pods in the first turn. Highlights where people forgetting (or failing) to kill the Death Company Dread first turn, only to have it rampage through entire units, opponents not spacing out units enabling the baal predator to incinerate entire squads first turn, and single Death Company marine assaulting a tervigon and killing it with a power sword (yeah, 4 hits, 4 6's to wound...). We came out with 1 loss, 2 draws and three wins. I am now looking forward to the opportunity to paint up my FW marines and get enough to make a full force, but damn, whose silly idea was it to try paint yellow...

Damon, Mike and I got a chance to plan the demise of all the other teams attending the NZTC this weekend. Although we didn't actually manage to make a plan for their demise, we did manage to plan he demise of our other team mate Alans Empire army. Expect us to throw him under the bus at any given opportunity!

In all seriousness there has been a lot of smack talk on the local interwebs scene. Whilst our team will not be stooping to the gutter like all the other teams (obviously there is no need to lower ourselves to their levels, as we have two uncapped ETC players on the team, the title is practically ours! /end sarcasm), the banter has been amusing.

I am picking the podiums to be made up of Kapiti Krushers, NZ Hammered, Cut the Mustard, and the Vonn Trapp Family.

As for us I think we will be competing for 5th or 6th place. My reasoning simply because Mike refuses to use Doom Divers! So to all those attending, when you see mike, ask him about his doom divers, or lack there of!

New Finecast Formula?

Everyone knows by now what a failure the Finecast launch ended up being, with warped moulds and models missing large parts in detail, not to mention how frail the material is. Models once made in metal but now converted to finecast carry a nice premium on the second hand market thanks to all the problems of what has been dubbed "failcast" by the market.

However of late some people have been noticing less miscasts and a harder, more durable resin being used on finecast miniatures. The models have a bit more weight behind them now as well. Has GW changed the formula for finecast on the sly? Is it now the same material as Forgeworld resin? I for one am interested, as I do not mind working with Forgeworld resin at all. This really came to the fore with the recent Dark Angels releases, some noting how heavy the new casts of Sammael on his jetbike are, and the lack of miscasts.

One can only hope there is more substance to this

Rumors - Daemons and Fliers

If you bother to follow the rumour mill you would have hardly missed all the contradicting 'ideas' floating out there in cyber space at the moment. A quick recap and we have:

Daemons! Consisting of a dual release for both Fantasy and 40k both in hardback. Models are rumoured to include a Bloodthirster and Great Unclean One in plastic! with finecast upgrade kits to make special characters. A new Nurgle unit that is like a plaugebearer on a fly? and a Chariot with an option for some sort of flaming cannon (although this last one has mentioned the Tzeentch getting the cannon option). Theres also plastic furies on the horizon according to some.

Some interesting stuff here, and my take lends me to think that we will get the two new greater Deamons in plastic with some sort of options in the kit to make a special character (think Emperor Karl Franz) with the other two being released later in the year in a wave. A new Khorne chariot that is a dual kit, but its hard to believe it will have a ranged option on it as this is unusual in Khorne fluff (at least in fantasy). I believe we would then see a flying Tzeentch chariot pulled by screamers with a flaming cannon (dual kit as well) with the second wave greater Daemon release. Don't know how to place the Nurgle Fly-ers. Suppose this could be a  the replacement for a chariot option or will we see a Nurgle chariot in a second wave?

The Daemons do get my blood running as I have been wanting to brush off my Daemon army ever since the new Slannesh chariots where released, so I am secretly hoping the plastic Greater Daemon rumours are true, as I am not a fan of the current GUO and BT.

The other rumour rearing its head at the moment is another flier wave for 40k consisting of the Dark Eldar Void Bomber, a Tau flier, the Harpy and an Eldar flier. Whats unusual here is that its 4 large plastic kits in a month. As far as I can remember GW generally releases only 3 plastic kits at a time, so lets just hope to be pleasantly surprised.

As for timing, there is a huge amount of conflict here. But I would put a penny on Fliers wave for Feb and Daemons in March (Pre order late feb). I can't remember the last time GW did back to back books for fantasy/40k.

I guess we will all find out early next week when the WD gets leaked

Necron Rules Clarification - iPad only?

So that clears that up (although people who argued against it where just a lil butt hurt...)

But interestingly enough, this update is for the iPad.  The above image is a screenshot from the latest Necron Codex update on iPad. Will we be seeing another round of FAQ's going up soon on the GW website? Or is this a new trend?

Terror from above

This weekend we are having a small 6 round 40k local tournament. I will be taking my Necrons out for a blast with 1750 points of death from above for the first time.

Yeah 5 Nightscythes will grace the southern skies raining lighting from above. In my heavily themed list (yeah any excuse to bring so many scythes) I will have multiples of 5 of everything!

5 Scythes
5 Barges
5 units of 5 warriors
and even 5 Wraiths!

Should be a barrel of laughs as I either fail all my reserve rolls, get tabled on the first turn and auto loose, or I roll dozens of sixes and laugh as I tell my opponent "take it off!" all in good fun.....

New Necrons from Forgeworld

So last weekend I found the latest newsletter from Forgeworld in my inbox sporting some new space Egyptians.
Dubbed 'Necron Hornets' by some, the Necron Canoptek Acanthrites have enough of the standard necron design concepts to fit into a force nicely.

More importantly, they provide rules to bring a jump pack mounted melta gun to the field, and at the same time are not to shabby in the CC department

From Forgeworld:

"Resembling monstrous, artificial insects enfolded in shadowed wings of tenebrous force that propel them through the skies, Canoptek Acanthrites are murderous Necron constructs created for a single purpose – the destruction of those who have dared to claim the worlds of the ancient Necron empire as their own. Their agile, coiling tails are tipped with hyper-phased voidblades and they are armed with high-powered thermal cutting beams, and this potent armament allows them to carve and dissemble solid matter with horrifying speed. Unsurprisingly, when these devastating weapons are turned upon frail flesh the results are terrible to behold.

Canoptek Acanthrites are often encountered in the vanguard of Necron assault spearheads and extermination campaigns, and their numbers vary from a mere handful to vast hosts of these abhorrent machine-locusts, capable of stripping a city down to rubble and slaughtering its inhabitants in a merciless tide of destruction. "
With a T5 and 3+ save, these jump infantry are basically 3 wound destroyers with strength 6 melta guns. Along with the 2 attacks from a voidblade in CC, they represent rather good value at 45 points a piece. Where they loose value is the 36 squid price tag for 3... coming in at about $25 NZD each... its still cheaper than wraiths however.

Aesthetically, they 'look' like Necrons, but in my opinion they could have turned out a little better. The models just look a little awkward. Still, I reserve judgement until I have some in my hands. Yeah, I'm a sucker for my space Egyptians just like my Tomb Kings.

Hopefully this will be the worst release for Necrons (I'm ignoring the horrible scarabs, they where never sculpted!) from Forgeworld, as the rumors beating around atm are the next book due from Forgeworld is a Imperial vs Necron. One can only hope!

6th Edition 40k FAQ's are up

True to form, GW have released the FAQ's for the latest edition of 40k in very short order.
After a brief glance over them they cover most of the holes that where expected with the new edition, in that each individual codex special rules where bought up to date the the new rule set. There are still a few question marks and clarfications needed however, and once again it would be great for active feedback to take place with regards to FAQ's. Alas, this has not been so for a while now.... Peddling backwards anyone?

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?categoryId=1000018&pIndex=1&aId=3400019&multiPageMode=true&start=2

My necron force looks to see an expansion again soon, adding more of the units that I like now that I have seen the new rules and can see my list becoming legal. Some things I noticed:
  • Whip coils now nerf Grey Knight Halberds, but roll off vs Tyranid lash whips
  • Night Scythes are not transports, and have thier own ruleset. They can move between 18" and 36" and still deploy thier troop cargo! If they travel over 24", the troops may only snap fire. What I would like to know is, can they charge after disembarking? Its not a transport, but uses the word disembark, and uses the base as an access point. Charging from a Night Scythe would be epic, especially after moving 36"...
  • The Catacomb Command Barge becomes a Chariot, which makes the unit better in some ways, however we loose out on movement range. In 5th, we could travel 24" and make a sweeping attack, and I believe in 6th we can only do this form of attack in the movement phase, thus range is reduced to 12". On top of this, the amazing warscythe has been nerfed, and we no longer get 2D6 ap, and instead get a re-eoll of the 1D6 ap. Its ap 1 now though, but no longer can we harm armour 14...
What I take from all this though, is my beloved Tomb Kings in space have, IMO, become the most mobile and flexable force in the game as it stands. It also, become possibly the only army that can start fully in reserve!

The reserves rule states, that half your army (rounding up) can start the game in reserve. It also states, that units that must be deployed in reserve are ignored (ie fliers in this case). Units with dedicated transports count as one unit for the purposes of reserves. thus, by taking 1 HQ, and mounting all the rest of my forces in Night Scythes, plus adding in a few Doom Scythes for good measure, can I then start the game entirly in reserve.

The list Im looking at is as follows:

HQ
Vargard Obyron
Nercon Lord, Orb, Warscythe, mindshackle scarabs
Cryptek, Lance, Solar pulse

Elite
8 Lychguard, Sword and Board
Nightscythe

Troop
7 Warriors
Nightscythe
x5

Heavy
Doomscythe
x3

Yes, 9 Scythes! and hopefully I should dominate the skies.
Nemesor Zahndrekh has sent Obyron down to the planet surface to secure a drop zone for some contraption whilest Zahndrekh waits in the ship orbiting the planet.
We all know how effective 3 twin link tesla destructors where previously, I can only imagine 9 of them to be the bane of any mech list out there...

Southcon 2012/Comp rant

Southcon 2012 is on this Queens Birthday weekend in Dunedin, and once again I've managed to leave everything to the last minute... Thank Ptra most of my army is painted already

Having won Southcon last year with my greenskins, I've submitted my list last week for the title defence:

Prince with great weapon and armour of protection
L4 Hierophant Liche Priest with dispel scroll
L2 Death priest
38 Tomb Guard
2 units of 20 archers
3 units of 10 archers
2 units of 5 horse archers
6 Necroknights
Casket
Catapult
Necrosphinx

Nothing green this year bar the bar the orb on my Liche

SouthCon will be a 6 round 2400 point tournament with scenarios, and has hard caps in place of max 12 PD in a phase and 0-1 of any rare selection over 70 points, on top of 450 points/50 model limit to any unit. Max 4 war machines and some other hard caps... the field is 20 strong this time up from 16 last year.

Warning! Ranting and whining to follow:

Some will say cry me a river, but why do people insist on trying to "fix" things with blanket comp. Clue. It doesn't work! 0-1 rares? oh yay no double hydras and other wot not. But then armies like Tomb Kings get stiffed by only 1 war machine, where empire will still bring cannons and rockets and volley guns gallour... And I'm sure goblins have a thing or two to say about unit size cap. Points cap is enough! 8th edition changed the playing field away from MSU, but unfortunately there are still some out there that want to play Warhammer 7.5.

And then there is the horrible b*****d child that is the comp system for Conquest in Christchurch (October)... All rares 0-1, all specials 0-2... someone get a clue and stop trying to wreck this game. What is trying to be achieved here? Nobody knows, but these two little gems of the south are swimming against the current and introducing harder and harder comp, where every other tourney is starting to embrace 8th and relaxing it. There is a point of no return coming up and the comp will just start spiralling out of control very soon. Safe to say I might just enter my first 40k comp ever instead at Conquest, where there is no comp to be seen! should be a bloody affair as it will probably be the very first event in NZ to be held under 6th edition. I've played the guy who is organising it before and hes a top bloke! (Hi Wes)

Am I bitter cause I cant take my toys? Hell yes! (To be fair, the only thing that my normal list cant take is the second catapult, and other than that its just the poorly implemented restrictions on the magic phase that hurt)

/end rant

Oh and about that last minute stuff. Apparently someone (me) didn't bother to make a Necrosphinx, so now I have 2 evenings to complete said Necrosphinx, and that's on top of the half dozen wraiths and triarch stalker that I promised to a friend to borrow for the event....

Sleep.. Whats that?

2012 Release Predictions

We are almost half way through the year and there is alot of talk on the interwebs of whats to come.
I thought I would post my predictions here so I can look back and see how close they where at the end of the year

  • June: Fantasy release, either High Elves or Dwarfs book. (Personaly I want to see a Fantasy wave that includes the Collosus and Hierotitan, but its not likley) - pre orders up on May 26th/June 2nd
  • July: 40k 6th Edition Hardback book - pre orders up on June 30th
  • August: Fantasy Warriors of Chaos book - pre orders up on July 28th
  • September: 40k 6th Edition box set - pre orders up on August 25th/September 1st
  • October: Mystery box! Could be Blood Bowl but more likley a 40k orientated release (possibly swaped with November)
  • November: Hobit/LOTR release (possibly swaped with October)
  • December: nothing of note, some finecast conversions and army deals

So thats it. Thats right no 40k Codex until January/Feburary IMO. 2 new Warhammer Fantasy books and a focus on 40k 6th Edition. If we are lucky we could see some new kits come out alongside the 6th edition release in July (the fliers everyone is talking about), however I think it is unlikley we will see anything else in September.

As for the first 6th Codex's, vanila Space Marines followed by Chaos Legions... in 2013!
