New Knight pictures and rules leaked + New Brushes

There here. New Codex and Datacards. Three new variants

375 points before upgrades... They aint no Wraithknight...

Weapon rules are average. Nothing the FW variants didnt accomplish.  No Strength D quake cannon either. Very disapoint!

At least the model is nice.

And the much rumoured new brush range. Doubt they will be anywhere near as good as a Raphael or W&N. Looking at the brush range in this image they appear to be very focused on drybrushing. I expect the next few WD will introduce a series of tutorials on how to use the "revolutionary" new range of brushes...

New Forgeworld Heresy Knight

Housing machine spirits which some say became too accustomed to wholesale slaughter during the Age of Strife and the Great Crusade that followed it, many of the more conservative Households consider the Styrix to be a dark and malevolent pattern of armour, the wanton slaughter it unleashes being beneath a true Knight. Other Households hold no such reservations, loosing entire formations of Styrix mark Knights to mercilessly annihilate their foes.
Armed with a devastating Volkite chieorovile and backed up with a graviton gun and twin-linked rad cleanser, the Questoris Knight Styrix is easily able to eliminate large numbers of infantry at range. Whilst in close combat, its immensely powerful hekaton siege claw can smash vehicles and tear buildings asunder, making it a powerful addition to any army.
The Questoris Knight Styrix can be fielded in Horus Heresy games using the Battles in the Age of Darkness expansion as part of the forthcoming Questoris Knight Crusade Army list or as a Lords of War choice for any Horus Heresy army. Its rules will be published in the next Horus Heresy rulebook.
This is a complete multi-part resin and plastic kit, designed by Rob MacFarlane.
It is available to pre-order now and will be despatched from Monday November 17th.

What I find most interesting is this sentance "The Questoris Knight Styrix can be fielded in Horus Heresy games using the Battles in the Age of Darkness expansion as part of the forthcoming Questoris Knight Crusade Army list"

So we all are anticipating the next Horus Heresy book to be released soon, so is the title "Age of Darkness"? I dont think we will have long to wait as it is just around the corner... why? well, no rules for it...

Forgeworld Cerastus Lancer available now

We seen this bad boy at the Forgeworld open day, and its now available for a cool $390!
At 3 times the price of a normal one I don't think we will see many here in NZ

The shield looks very different, and I am still in 2 minds if it needs some coloured transparent plastic or similar in the gaps, or even clear backlit with LED's

It is however huge, but $390 huge?

Rules look different enough to offer alternatives to the Errant and Paladin models

The Cerastus Knight-Lancer is a first strike weapon, attuned to rapid assault tactics and lethal outflanking charges against a foe. It is justly renowned for its speed and its power, as well as for the temperamental and restive nature of the machine-spirits which dwell as anima within its colossal frame.
Because of this reputation, the most impetuous and glory-hungry of the Knight Households are driven to bond with these war machines, their own souls a match for the fury caged within their mounts. The greatest of these pairings will go on to create martial legends among their lineage, while for those whose temper cannot fully master that of their Knight-engine or whose own lust for glory might see valour outweigh caution on the battlefield, their triumphs are likely to blaze brightly, if briefly, in the chronicles of their Households.
The Cerastus Knight-Lancer is a complete multi-part resin kit, designed by Daren Parrwood. You can also see Daren talking about the making of the Knight-Lancer on our visual feed. Rules for using the Cerastus Knight-Lancer for us in Warhammer 40,000 can be found here.

Forgeworld posts detailed views of new Knight Lancer

We find out the full name, Cerastus Knight Lancer. Full rules appear in Horus Heresy Book III, so it appears to be a 30K focused variant. No doubt we will get 40K specific rules eventually.

New Knights Paladin size comparison

There is a picture floating about indicating the scale of the new Knights Paladin compared to a Tau Riptide

As you can see it is a half inch taller than a Riptide, but a heck of a lot bulkier!

There is also confirmation floating about that the Imperial Knights Freeblades can only ally with Imperial forces. Not sure what this means for allying with other forces of order.

The Codex cover has also been leaked including the price list for week 1 in March. The Imperial Knights codex will set you back NZD$77 which is unusual as all books (besides the Space Marine Codex) have been NZD$98 so far. This leads me to believe it is far smaller, which makes sense since there is potentially only 2 different models in the book...

There is also a Ltd Edition to be released, no doubt at 4x the UK price...
