Raging Heroes - Dark Elves Concept Art

Raging Heroes previewed a long time ago a few sketches of a potential Dark Elves project that they would take to kick starter. It now appears that they have decided to press ahead with it.

They have started by releasing a lot on concept art work and making an announcement they wish to start a new kickstarter based on them (and potentially sci fi variants) as soon as they ship their "Toughest Girls in the Universe" kickstarter.

After the success of the well received "Toughest Girls in the Universe" kickstarter, I can only expect this one to be popular as well, considering the new found popularity of Dark Elves in the Warhammer world.

I am looking forward to the Succubus to proxy as Harpies. There also looks to be a lot of nice sketches of characters. This is where I think they will have some of the biggest success in the range. Games Workshop character models leave a lot to be desired in the Dark Elf range.

They better do a Dark Pegasus! and preferably with a few wing options as any self respecting Dark Elves player wants a few of them in his/her army!

Can't help but think they may have missed the boat a little with timing...

Adepta Sororita Previews

Games Workshop Digital Editions have previewed 30 odd pages for the new Adepta Sororitas that is up for pre-order now. Alot we have seen before in the White Dwarf codex release but instead of just reprinting that, they have used it as a starting point and ran with it.

This is a great way to show continued support to an unpopular army IMO

Pre-orders are available from Games Workshop Black Library and the iBook store

Games Workshop Digital Releases

If you have not already cottoned on to it (or have been living under a rock/pineapple) Games Workshop has been pushing ahead with digital products like never before

Recently announced, Imperial Fists will be the first supplement to Warhammer 40K: Space Marines, Sentinels of Terra

Centred around the deeds of the 3rd company and its captain Garadon it also features background a lore about the Imperial Fists themselves.

An interesting angle and a deviation in a way from the other supplements, I think we can expect to see company specific supplements for several chapters. This theory is backed up by the comprehensive rules for each chapter included in the main codex.

Another recent announcement is the new Sisters of Battle Codex called Adepta Sororitas which appears to be more than just a reprint of the White Dwarf Released Codex from yesteryear. There is new rules, point adjustments and new artwork as well. It could prove a good enough medium to support the less popular races in the future, and even release new armies. Here's hoping for an Adeptus Mechanicus Codex in 6th!

So far these releases have only been available on iBooks for iPad owners. It appears that they only released the Eldar Codex on other formats, and stopped after that, which I find a huge shame. In Australasia you can't even get the iBooks as Apple/GW won't market them here (although they do say they are in negotiations to do so... whatever that means)

What has been most interesting about this exercise of late is the new facebook page called Games Workshop Digital Editions. If you have not seen this yet go take a look here. One of the most impressive things about this webpage is the fact comments are enabled and Games Workshop actually responds to your questions! Lots of previews and sneak peaks of what's coming up. Its a welcome change from the previous poor/ill advised policies of not engaging with their most loyal customer base (and thus turning them towards other products). Hopefully more of this to come...

A Titan Story - Part 1

So this will be the first post (of many) of my Titan builds. I was lucky enough to be in the position to buy the apocalypse formation from Warhammer World when I visited last month.

These fellas will form the core of my Adeptus Mechanicus contingent for my Imperial Fists Legion which I am building. Its all going to be centred around a single company in the legion based on Terra not long after the liberation of equipment from Mars during the Dark Mechanicum revolt.

I'm not sure at this point what Titan legion they will be from, maybe the Legio Ignatum or the Fire Wasps, or some other survivors from the Mars revolt, but most likely I will wait until some more of the Horus Heresy books are released by Forgeworld before committing to them.

There is plenty of examples on the Internet of well painted titans hailing from the legions present on Terra during the siege M30. But first things first, here is what I have to deal with in the beginning...

Somewhere in here there is two Warhounds and a Reaver Titan
